Christine Martin

Christine Martin has been a SKY Breath Meditation Teacher since 2018, and has over twenty-five years of meditation practice and experience. Christine was born in Toronto, Canada, and studied art and communications in Montreal at Concordia University before moving to New York City where she graduated from New York Law School. Her varied academic accomplishments and real-world experience have given her a uniquely thoughtful, practical, and creative perspective, and a deep appreciation for diverse communities. Christine currently lives in Barryville, New York, in the Western Catskills, where among other pursuits, she continues to teach meditation, and tend to her garden.

Dr. Bindi Patel

Dr. Bindi Patel, D.D.S, earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University in California. Dr. Bindi has been in private practice since 2003, first in Riverside, California, and now in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where she established her own dental office, Oasis Dental, in 2015. She is licensed and actively practicing dentistry in Arizona and has previously been licensed in both New York and California.

Beyond her work as a dentist, Dr. Bindi has a passion for traveling, practicing yoga and meditation, and spending quality time with her family. She has been practicing SKY Breath since 1992 and been associated with Art of Living Foundation since then. Dr. Bindi is also a certified teacher of the Art of Living Foundation’s SKY Breath Meditation and Sri Sri Yoga programs. As a volunteer, Dr. Bindi dedicates her time to helping others improve their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being through these programs.

Priya Narayanan

MD

Dr. Narayanan is an advocate for the role of alternative modalities of healing and promotes the role of yoga and meditation as adjuncts to conventional psychiatric treatment. She completed her Psychiatry Residency at NYU and heads a Community Treatment program in Los Angeles serving the needs of people with severe and persisting mental illness. Dr. Narayanan is a senior faculty member with the International Association for Human Values and teaches meditation and self-development workshops with a focus on addressing burnout and increasing resiliency among health care professionals.

Dr. Rob Feeley

Dr. Rob Feeley is a renowned double-board certified addiction and general psychiatrist. He chose to specialize in psychiatry because he enjoys the art of it as much as a science. In the course of his medical training, he quickly found meditation and breathing to be invaluable assets, helping him to thrive in the face of adversity, and to remain steadfast in his commitment to serve others. Dr. Feeley has become an ardent practitioner and teacher of meditation for over a decade. He has taught courses at Yale School of Medicine to medical students, for Harvard and MIT undergraduates, veterans, the physician community, and regularly teaches community programs.

Rob implemented the first-ever residency program wellness initiative at Yale. He is presently an attending physician for Community Psychiatry, the medical director for Engage Treatment Program, Vantage Point Recover, Thousand Oaks, CA, and the national SKY Recovery Program, and acts as a consulting forensic psychiatrist in his spare time.

Rob has also written many publications, including those addressing psychiatric disorders, addictions, anxiety disorders, medications, wellness, and the role of hormones in health.

He completed his psychiatric residency and addiction fellowship at Yale and currently lives and practices in Calabasas, CA.

Dr. Sarita Patel

Dr. Sarita Patel is a respected physician practicing in New York City, where she serves as the Director of Pain Management and Palliative Care Services at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. With extensive experience in clinical practice, she’s also a dedicated educator, imparting knowledge to medical students and residents.

Dr. Patel’s influence reaches beyond her medical roles. She’s a senior member of the Art of Living Foundation and the International Association for Human Values, organizations through which she has been teaching stress management and self-development programs for over two decades. Her unique approach merges medical expertise with personal growth principles, benefiting healthcare professionals, patients, administrators, and corporate leaders alike.

As the Co-Founder of Living Well Programs for Healthcare Professionals, Dr. Patel’s vision extends nationally, providing transformative experiences to healthcare providers across the country. Her commitment to holistic well-being and compassionate care leaves an enduring impact on both the medical field and the individuals she serves.

Jagpreet Chhatwal

PHD

Jagpreet Chhatwal, PhD, is an associate professor at Harvard Medical School and the director of Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Technology Assessment. His research aims to inform health policy to reduce substance use disorder and associated mortality. Dr. Chhatwal’s work has provided important data for reducing disease burden in the wider community as well as in marginalized populations including people in corrections and with addiction. He also teaches SKY Breath Mediation workshops in different settings. Dr. Chhatwal’s work has been featured in several leading media, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and National Public Radio. He has published 100+ articles in peer-reviewed journals. His work has been used by the White House, World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention to inform health policy.

Dr. Krithika Kavanoor

Dr. Krithika Kavanoor is a graduate of Barnard College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center. She stayed on at Montefiore as Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Social Medicine and was part of the core residency teaching faculty. In 2021 after almost 17 years living in New York City, Krithika moved to Los Angeles. She currently practices full time as a family medicine physician in El Segundo, California.

Krithika first became interested in meditation in 2009 during her search for effective ways to manage stress before beginning the long years of medical training. She became an instructor with the Art of Living Foundation in 2019.

Michael Fischman

Michael Fischman is a leader in the field of personal development, the host of Back to the Source podcast and the author of the award-winning memoir, Stumbling into Infinity. He was a founding member and long-serving president of the U.S. Art of Living Foundation, a global non-profit educational and humanitarian organization. A former advertising executive with Ogilvy & Mather, Michael is an inspiring speaker who travels the world leading personal-development seminars that bring greater peace, awareness, and fulfillment to daily life.

Michel Hirschberg

Michel Hirschberg, a board member of the U.S. Art of Living foundation, one of the world’s largest humanitarian-focused non-profits, is dedicated to promoting mental health and wellness. For over 25 years, Michel has taught executives, healthcare workers, veterans, and other professionals self-development programs based on breathing techniques, meditation, and yoga. Before teaching, Michel earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1980 and practiced law for over 35 years, specializing in workers compensation.

Throughout his career, Michel utilized breathing techniques to manage stress and maintain focus, leading to a successful career in law. He now helps other professionals improve their mental and emotional well-being, increase their mental focus and achieve an elevated state of mind.

Dr. Neeraj Kaushik

Dr. Neeraj Kaushik is the Director of Gastroenterology at St. Francis Hospital in Long Island, New York. Dr. Kaushik has been recognized for his professional achievements and dedication to the field of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. He has been awarded Fellowship by the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). Dr. Kaushik has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor 2021.

He is also a fellow of AGA and ASGE. He has been practicing SKY Breath Meditation since 2007.

Dr. Pramila Agrawal

Dr. Pramila Agrawal pursued a pediatric residency at LLUMC, Loma Linda. After working as a pediatrician in Pomona, CA, she’s now retired and deeply engaged with the Art of Living Foundation and International Association for Human Values.

Dr. Agrawal has a passion for making a positive impact has led her on a remarkable journey. Her service began with volunteering in her children’s classrooms and schools, expanding to contribute to the Pomona Unified School District and now focusing on enhancing mental health in schools and communities in Pomona. She has worked with the Pomona police, physicians, and nurses. She extends her support to local hospitals, aiding healthcare providers and counselors in combating burnout.

Residing in Diamond Bar, CA, with her husband, Pramila finds joy in walking, hiking, traveling, gardening, and yoga. As a passionate educator, she offers voluntary preceptorship to medical students and residents and holds certifications as a teacher for SKY Schools, Sri Sri Yoga, SKY Breathing, and Meditation programs.

Dr. Randy Berlin

Dr. Randy Berlin began clinical training at the Children’s Hospital of the Menninger Foundation in 1969. He was introduced to guided meditation, biofeedback, therapeutic breath, and LSD treatment. He completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1976 and joined the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula’s outpatient treatment mental health service.

Dr. Berlin has been in private practice since 1978, specializing in family therapy, men’s issues, and trauma and addiction treatment. He has studied Yoga philosophy since 1970 and teaches breathing techniques to facilitate trauma healing and regulation of emotional states.

He founded Get Unstuck, an online recovery program based on best practices from his 50 years of experience. It takes a holistic approach to healing, combining traditional clinical methodologies with mindfulness, breathwork, and Vedic/Yogic knowledge.

Dr. Sharon C. Siegel

Sharon C. Siegel, DDS, MS, MBA completed her DDS degree (1979), her certificate in Prosthodontics (1992) and her MS Degree in Oral Biology (1995) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. She completed a General Practice Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (1980) and served in the United States Army Dental Corps as a General Dentist in Baumholder, Germany from 1980-1982. She taught in the Department of Prosthodontics at University of Maryland from 1985-2002, serving as Director of Fixed Prosthodontics and earning the rank of Associate Professor with tenure. She moved to the Nova Southeastern University in 2003 where she was the Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics at Nova Southeastern University and is currently an Adjunct and a full Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. She earned an MBA from the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship in 2015.

Dr. Siegel is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and has served the American College of Prosthodontists as the Section Editor of the Journal of Prosthodontics since 2006, and the Associate Editor in Chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics, as Chair of the Classification Implementation for the Prosthodontic Diagnostic Index Task Force (2004-2010) and as a member of the Research Committee (2007-2012).

Dr. Siegel has authored over 30 peer reviewed articles, and 6 Book Chapters. She is a 2006 Fellow of the ADEA Leadership Institute. She has lectured internationally on osteoporosis and women’s health issues, CADCAM and has conducted research and published extensively in the field of dental cutting and has published in the area of CADCAM and Lean Protocols. She is currently conducting research in the area of CAD/CAM dentistry. She is the 2015 winner of the Lucy Hobbs Taylor Award from the American Association of Women Dentists. She holds a patent on a dental device.

She has been personally practicing SKY Breath and Meditation since 2018 and became a SKY Campus Teacher Coach in 2019 holding short workshops for her students to relax from the stress of dental school. She introduced the SKY Breath Happiness Course as an elective into the curriculum at Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine in 2021 for the first year Dental students and in the Fall of 2023 the D4 Dental students will be able to take the elective as part of their curriculum. Dr. Siegel became a SKY Breath teacher in November of 2022 after finishing her training with the teacher training course in Boone, North Carolina. She has been teaching courses in Sky Breath and Meditation since then and has recently become part of Healing Breaths, leading their daily SKY practices for healthcare providers and Breathers for healthcare providers.

Dr. Somya Ramrakhyani

Dr. Somya Ramrakhyani is a pediatrician and a meditation coach. She did her pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and trained as a meditation coach with the Art of Living Foundation. Dr. Somya has worked with the Foundation for 14 yrs, in various capacities and spearheading multiple programs. She was the National teachers coordinator for the Foundation, managing the 1000+ facilitators across the country. With her strong background in medicine and research, she is now leading the Customer Success team for Healing Breaths.

Dr. Tom Mitchell

Dr. Tom Mitchell is a 1997 graduate of Parker College and is in private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2015 and 2016 he served as President of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association, and in 2019 he was appointed by Governor Cooper to serve on the North Carolina Board of Chiropractic Examiners, which is the regulatory body for chiropractic in North Carolina. He has been teaching the Healing Breath course as a volunteer since 1997 and enjoys sharing the benefits of the practice with other professionals and with his patients.

Lata Patel

RN, BSN, MBA

Lata Patel, RN, BSN, MBA, is an experienced registered nurse manager and seasoned meditation and breathwork expert. Lata obtained her RN degree from Rutgers University at Camden and pursued her MBA degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. With a meditation and breathwork journey that started in 2003, she has honed her skills and currently serves as an instructor in SKY Breathwork Meditation at the renowned Art of Living Foundation.

Lata has dedicated herself to teaching healthcare professionals and individuals how to effectively combat stress and unlock their true potential by incorporating mindfulness and self-care practices into their daily lives. Her speaking style is engaging, and her practical approach makes her an invaluable guide for personal and professional growth.

Dr. Usha Peri

Dr. Usha Peri is double board certified in internal medicine and nephrology from Baylor College of Houston and UT Southwestern. She has had a successful private practice in the greater Dallas area for the past 20 years.

Dr. Peri has been married for 30 years with two grown children. She loves to read, travel, and cook international vegetarian cuisine, besides mentoring students and adults interested in personal growth.

She discovered yoga and meditation (SKY Breath Meditation) and uses these tools for her personal practice and resilience. Dr. Peri actively teaches SKY Breath Meditation to hundreds of healthcare professionals, students, and adults in a pay-forward way.
